CME provided project management and construction management and inspection services for downtown Concord emergency spot repairs and replacement of a sanitary sewer line. CME provided consultant oversight during the initial study and design and coordinated with City staff to complete both projects under a single construction contract. CME coordinated and obtained permits from California Department of Fish & Game and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for the removal and replacement of the sewer line, which was located inside a culvert and suspended over a creek. Each spot repair location was listed on the bid sheet as a lump sum to inform the costs of additional spot repairs. Repairs were made by both trenchless and open trench construction methods.
Construction cost was $273,000.
